Course System Profile and

The Faculty of Civil Engineering in the fringe program offers courses leading to professional qualification in Civil Engineering.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering offers the youth of Peru, the opportunity to pursue a career with greater scope and greater opportunities to serve the country. Since Peru is a country in development, professional civil engineers are essential for the planning, design, construction and operation of public and private works in the various application fields, such as buildings, bridges, dams, transportation systems, systems of water supply, hydro-use integrated systems as well as irrigation and others.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering has as main objective the training of professionals, giving them a full training in the physical, economic and social, in order to develop his career in the following applications: Construction

:

That includes the study of the technology of building materials and their industrialization. Programming of work and construction of urban buildings, urban empowerment works and major civil engineering works, taking into account the inherent economic, financial overview and formulation and execution of works.

Structures:

includes the project, structuring, analysis and structural design of reinforced concrete buildings, steel, wood, masonry and country-specific materials such as adobe and thatch.
also includes the structural design of major civil engineering works such as bridges, dams, docks, industrial projects.

Hydraulics and Hydrology:

That includes the design and construction of irrigation canals, navigation, transmission, storage dams, regularization, branch plants, hydroelectric generation, water supply systems and drainage, hydropower modeling studies to solve problems of river hydraulics and maritime hydraulics.

Geotechnical and Soil Mechanics:

covers the study of the physical-mechanical and hydraulic behavior of stresses and strains of soils by field survey and laboratory tests required for the design of foundations of different types of works such as buildings, bridges, slope stability, dams, retaining walls, tunnels, pavements, and others.

It also provides for the dynamic behavior of soils to external requests such as earthquakes and vibrations generated by machinery.

Surveying Transport and Roads:

includes the planning, design and construction of roads, highways, railroads and mass transit systems, including structures that are needed to overcome the obstacles that are in its path, to consolidate and drain on their platforms.

Also includes the design and construction of airports and heliports, necessary to transport water and air.
